Just A Simple Dinner With Psyche

There is something special about New York gatherings.

Not the big ones. Not the crowded openings or the packed events that fill the city during NYCxDESIGN. The smaller ones. The ones where conversations have time to unfold, where introductions turn into exchanges, and where people stay a little longer than they planned to.

To open this year’s NYCxDESIGN, we wanted to create exactly that.

Together with Psyche Olive Oil, we welcomed friends, familiar faces and members of New York’s creative community into the Simple Flair Apartment. For one evening, the space became what it was always intended to be: a contemporary salon for design conversations, unexpected encounters and shared ideas.

The Apartment has never been just a place to showcase objects. Its purpose is to bring people together. To create a setting where creativity can move naturally between disciplines, generations and perspectives. The kind of room where a conversation about design quickly becomes one about food, travel, publishing, architecture or whatever happens to emerge around the table.

Psyche Olive Oil felt like a natural companion for this gathering. With food by Thumns Dinner Club and wine selected by Venture Studios Imports, the evening unfolded the way we hoped it would: slowly, organically, among people who share a curiosity for culture, design and the connections that exist between them.

Because if there is one thing we have learned, it is that the Apartment is always at its best when it is lived in this way.
