Some gatherings are planned by one person but the best ones are built by many.
One of the things we have learned since opening the Simple Flair Apartment is that hosting becomes more interesting when it is shared. Different perspectives, different communities, different conversations all finding common ground around the same table.
That was the spirit behind Aperitivo Over Manhattan, hosted together with Ross Belfer and the team at RG2 Communications.
For one evening, New York’s design and architecture communities came together inside the Apartment, bringing a mix of familiar faces and new introductions. Conversations moved naturally between projects, disciplines and experiences, unfolding against a backdrop of sunset light and views stretching across Manhattan.
The Apartment itself was conceived around this idea of exchange. More than a residence, it is a living environment where brands, designers, creatives and cultural voices coexist. Furniture, objects and artworks are not simply displayed, but become part of an ongoing dialogue about contemporary living, design and culture.
What makes these moments meaningful is not the setting alone, but the people who activate it. Every collaborator brings their own network, their own point of view and their own energy, transforming the Apartment into something slightly different each time.
Perhaps that is why co-hosting feels like the most natural form of hosting.
